With vast emotional reserves at work, Scottish troubadour Fraser Anderson is likened to Damien Rice, Nick Drake and John Martyn. His passion for design, reminiscent of Joni Mitchel's melodic movement, weaves throughout his music as he combines painted narratives with tender falsetto, creating the most intimate and arresting performance experiences.
Over the years Fraser's unwavering dedication has seen him raise three sons and release four acclaimed albums. His second album 'Coming Up For Air' led to publishing with Metisse, Paris. His third album, ‘Little Glass Box’, features the legendary double bassist Danny Thompson and attracted German label Membran.
Anderson’s support tours have included Joan Armatrading, The Low Anthem, Pete Doherty, Italian artist Niccolo Fabi, and the legendary Chuck Berry. He has headlined many UK dates and appearances at European festivals including Celtic Connections, and Reeperbahn and Zermatt, not to mention regular trips to the USA and Canada.
Now his sons are grown, Fraser is able to tour extensively (For the first time). He’s currently readying the release of his fifth album, ‘Sankalpa’, after a fan gifted £15,000 for the recording after one of his gigs. The 2021 album marks a time of new opportunity, with the prospect of broadening the impact of a lifetime's body of work to the wider world.
