American Young
American Young is comprised of Country singer/songwriters Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone, both of whom found success in Nashville before joining forces.
Prior to launching American Young, Osmunson, a fiddle player and former member of vocal group Bomshel, had songs recorded by Joey + Rory, among others, while Stone was an in-demand producer who had cuts recorded by the likes of Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Blake Shelton.
Following the release of their self-titled debut for Curb Records, featuring the singles “Love Is War” and “Wasn’t Gonna Drink Tonight”, American Young was nominated for a British Country Music Association Touring Award and have since achieved this feat three years in a row. The duo have also performed in over 20 countries in the last two years! In addition, Jon can be seen on the hit E! series “Very Cavallari”.
The band's new EP "Soundtrack Of Your Life" was released in August this year. The album features 5 brand new songs and was chosen as EP of the week by radio station The Soundlab UK who played the release in full.
It has also been described by 'Belles and Gals' as "a record which is possibly their best body of work to date". The popular music site furthermore praises the penultimate track on the EP 'Falling Star' calling it a "truly beautiful song about pure love and that first feeling of falling".
"There's this cool chemistry; the energy from Kristy and brilliance from Jon is like nothing that you will see anywhere else"
