Last year London Latin Jazz Festival curator Alex Wilson accompanied by PCM pulled out all the stops to deliver a stunning line-up of some of London's finest musicians - Eliane Correa & En El Aire Project, J-sonics, Afro-Cuban Gospel Project with Alex Wilson & Nicky Brown, Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe and Omar Puente ‘Havana Class 86’...
After a hugely successful third year in 2015 the London Latin Jazz Festival returns to Pizza Express in London's Soho in September 2016. Curated by Latin jazz fusionist and virtuoso pianist Alex Wilson the festival presented a diverse five night programme.
A perfectly balanced cocktail of veteran players and rising stars. Drawn from the heartlands of Latin jazz - Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela, Northumberland and Derbyshire, the London Latin Jazz team is at its peak, ready to deliver compelling Latin jazz, spiked with high energy new fusion flavours.
We plan to take the music lovers on a journey deep into the rich beats and rhythms of Latin jazz, piloted by festival curator, Latin jazz pianist, arranger and composer Alex Wilson. Derbyshire-born Wilson's driving passion is the piano. Wilson has an authentic command of Latin American and Caribbean rhythms, an unquenchable appetite for stripping back this music to its African roots and fearlessly exploring of the welter of world rhythms. Alex Wilson is a giant talent and his music is endlessly satisfying.
